Does life feel too busy to sit still, let alone journal or pray?
Are you craving a daily, authentic relationship with God—but not sure how to build it?

I’m so glad you’re here. This podcast will help you create consistent space to hear God’s voice, deepen your relationship with Him, and grow spiritually and emotionally—without pressure or perfection.

Hi, I’m Jenny! I’m a journal-loving Jesus follower who’s been where you are—longing to hear God’s voice but unsure how to make space for it. I’ve battled depression and obsessive thought patterns, wrestled through seasons of doubt, and spent years bouncing between burnout and self-help overload. I knew I wanted a deeper walk with God… but while others made hearing Him seem easy, I struggled to actually hear Him for myself.

That’s when I discovered how simple, Spirit-led journaling could create daily rhythms that helped me slow down, listen, and connect with God—right in the middle of ordinary life. Now I’m here to help you do the same.

Whether you’re in a life transition, rebuilding your faith rhythms, or just craving spiritual clarity, this podcast will meet you with grace and practical tools to help you move forward.

If you’re ready for intentional connection, honest growth, and actually hearing God in your everyday life… grab your journal and let’s dig in.

Episode 3 of our New Years Series!
Busyness and distraction are some of the biggest threats to our spiritual lives and often the reason hearing God’s voice feels so difficult.
In this episode, we talk honestly about how busyness and distraction affect our discernment, and why the solution isn’t trying harder, but learning to listen differently in the season you’re actually in. Through Scripture and lived experience, you’ll be encouraged to examine what is truly from God in your schedule, what may need to be laid down, and how God invites you to meet Him in the middle of your everyday responsibilities.
This conversation offers biblical encouragement for anyone who feels stretched thin, overwhelmed, or discouraged by the lack of quiet. We’ll explore how faith and trust in God allow us to release unnecessary striving, resist constant noise, and cultivate attentiveness to His voice even when life is full. You’ll also receive practical journal prompts and gentle rhythms to help you discern where God is at work, notice His presence in ordinary moments, and create space for listening without overhauling your life.
If you’re longing to grow in discernment, deepen your faith, and reconnect with God in the midst of a busy season, this episode will remind you that friendship with Him is possible right where you are.

Episode 2 of our New Years Series!
In Day 2 of our New Year series, we explore how God speaks and why discernment can feel so challenging, even when we deeply desire closeness with Him. Grounded in Scripture, this episode offers biblical encouragement for anyone who longs to hear God’s voice but feels stuck, distracted, or unsure how to recognize it.
We’ll walk through the primary ways God communicates with His people (through Scripture, other believers, inner impressions of the Holy Spirit, dreams and visions, circumstances, and even our God-given desires) and why learning to listen requires both faith and trust in God. You’ll also discover some of the most common blocks that cloud discernment, including distraction, unbelief, unfamiliarity with God’s ways, and the lack of intentional listening rhythms.
Throughout the episode, you’ll be invited to slow down with reflective questions you can use as journal prompts designed to help you notice where God may already be speaking and to build confidence in hearing Him personally. If you’ve ever wondered whether God’s voice is really for you, this episode is a reminder that His promises are sure, His Spirit lives within you, and hearing Him is part of the relationship He desires with you.
If you’re ready to grow in discernment, deepen your faith, and step into 2026 anchored in Scripture and hope, this episode will encourage you to listen again with expectation.

Episode 1 of our New Years Series!
As we step into a new year, many of us are setting goals rooted in faith, growth, and intentional living. But what if the most important goal for 2026 isn’t something we do, but something we learn to hear?
In this episode, we explore why discernment, specifically hearing God’s voice, should be your number one priority this year. Drawing from Scripture, we look at how God speaks through His Word and by His Spirit, why His voice produces lasting fruit, and how learning to listen shapes every other goal we set. You’ll receive biblical encouragement to trust God’s guidance, even when the future feels unclear, and be reminded that intimacy and friendship with God are at the heart of the Christian life.
We’ll also unpack common pitfalls Christians face with goal-setting, reflect on how misplaced motivations can affect our spiritual growth, and reframe spiritual disciplines as pathways to relationship rather than religious obligation. For gentle journal prompts to accompany this episode and the others in the new years series, designed to help you reflect, pray, and respond to what God may already be speaking to you, sign up for our weekly newsletter! laurentpaperco.com/newsletter
If you’re longing to grow in discernment, deepen your trust in God, and enter this year anchored in faith rather than fear, this episode will encourage you to slow down, listen, and begin again, with God at the center.

Tuesday Dec 23, 2025

In this episode, we step into the story of Joseph and explore what his life teaches us about discernment, especially when God’s voice feels both unmistakably clear and painfully quiet.
Through Scripture in Matthew 1–2 and Luke 2, we reflect on how Joseph learned to trust God through angelic dreams, divine interruption, and seasons of silence. His story offers deep biblical encouragement for anyone longing to hear God, wrestling with uncertainty, or learning what trust in God looks like when obedience feels costly.
This episode is an invitation into deeper faith, honest devotions, and thoughtful reflection. You’ll be guided through meaningful journal prompts designed to help you process where God has spoken clearly in your life, and where you may be learning to trust Him without clarity. Together, we’ll look at how God works through both the miraculous and the mundane, reminding us that silence never means absence.
If you’re navigating a hard season, seeking spiritual direction, or longing for reassurance through scripture, this episode will meet you with hope, tenderness, and truth.
