The news is heavy. War, polarization, outrage. How do you hold onto faith when the world feels like it's coming apart? In this final episode of the Quiet Series, we close with a reading from Sarah Clarkson's Reclaiming Quiet and explore what it looks like to trust in God in the middle of the apocalypse.
This episode is full of biblical encouragement for the woman who is tired of the noise: tired of the outrage cycles, the fear, the heaviness. We turn to Scripture to ask: does the Christian story have anything real to say about chaos? And the answer is a resounding yes.

Do you feel overwhelmed by everything on your plate, like no matter how hard you try, the things that matter most keep getting pushed to later?
In part 2 of my conversation with Alyssa Figgins of Redeem Her Time, we get practical. Alyssa introduces her anchor zone method: a framework rooted in faith and discernment that helps you structure your day around what God is actually calling you to, instead of reacting to whatever comes at you first.
She also shares a powerful illustration using oranges and Skittles that will completely shift how you think about capacity. Spoiler: you have more of it than you think.
In this episode:
What anchor zones are and how to build them into your day
Why order determines capacity (the oranges and Skittles illustration)
How discernment and trust in God play a role in deciding what your "oranges" are this season
Biblical encouragement for women who feel like there is never enough time
The connection between intentional structure, faith, and actually hearing God's voice
Journal prompts and Scripture to help you reflect on how you're stewarding your time (included in our weekly newsletter! laurentpaperco.com/newsletter)
This is part 2 of 2! If you haven't listened to part 1 yet, start there for the heart shifts and Scripture foundation that set up everything in this episode.

Do you find yourself constantly saying "I just don't have time"? What if that feeling wasn't a calendar problem, but a heart problem rooted in faith?
In this episode, I'm joined by Lissa Figgins, a scaling strategist and founder of Redeem Her Time, who helps busy Christian women grow their results by multiplying the 24 hours God has given them. Lissa shares the powerful story of how a medical diagnosis became a turning point with God, and walks us through three heart shifts grounded in Scripture that will completely change how you approach your time and your relationship with Him.
This conversation is rich with Biblical encouragement for anyone who has ever felt behind, overwhelmed, or too busy to slow down and trust in God. We dig into what the parable of the talents reveals about stewardship, how discernment begins with making space to listen, and why the enemy's number one tactic is keeping you too busy to hear God's voice.
Journal prompts included in this episode to help you reflect and respond.
This is part 1 of 2! Tune in next week for Lissa's practical anchor zone framework.

Everyone is talking about nervous system regulation right now, and there's real wisdom in it. But what happens when biology becomes the only lens we use to understand our inner life? In this episode we're bringing faith and Scripture into the conversation, because discernment isn't just about calming your body down. It's about learning to trust God with what's underneath.
We'll talk about what nervous system insights get right, where they fall short of a biblical view of the whole person, and how practices like journaling and quiet can help you sift through the internal noise that's keeping you from hearing God's voice clearly. We'll look at what Scripture says about renewing your mind, taking every thought captive, and why biblical encouragement for the overwhelmed soul goes deeper than regulation.
If you want journal prompts to help you practice this kind of discernment and trust in God, you can get them sent straight to your inbox when you sign up for the newsletter at laurentpaperco.com/newsletter.

Everyone seems to be talking about going “analog” in 2026. Less scrolling, more real life. From crafting and gardening to handwritten letters and in-person gatherings, many people are realizing that constant digital noise is exhausting.
But what if this cultural shift is pointing us toward something deeper?
In this episode, we explore how the growing desire for an analog lifestyle can become an opportunity to cultivate faith, discernment, and deeper trust in God. Rather than simply unplugging from technology, we can use these quieter rhythms to reconnect with the One our souls were made for.
Through Scripture and biblical encouragement, we’ll reflect on how quiet practices like walking, journaling, prayer, and gathering around the table can help us notice God’s presence in everyday life and grow in spiritual discernment.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by noise, distraction, or the pace of modern life, this episode is an invitation to slow down and rediscover the quiet where God often speaks.

This is Part 5 of our Journaling Through Seasons of Transition Series!
One of the hardest parts of a transition or wilderness season is the loss of control. We have an outcome we hope for, and surrendering that future to God can feel terrifying. How do we move forward in faith when we don’t know what’s coming next?
In today’s episode, we’re talking about how to fight for a posture of surrender during seasons of transition. If you’re struggling with discernment, feeling stuck in fear, or unsure how to hear God’s voice clearly right now, this conversation will offer biblical encouragement and practical next steps.
Using the story of the Israelites and Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, we’ll explore what Scripture teaches about humility, trust, and daily surrender. I’ll also walk you through specific journal prompts to help you process your fears honestly, strengthen your faith, and rest in God’s promises as you move forward.
If you’ve been asking:
How do I trust God when the future feels overwhelming?
What does surrender actually look like in real life?
How can journaling help me grow in discernment and hear God’s voice?
This episode will give you both spiritual grounding and practical tools to help you follow God with confidence.
